Keepers Mascot: Bandit and Kaci

Bandit

Mascots 73 & 74, Bandit and Kaci, reside with Anita. Bandit came to me from a neighbor’s house when he was just a kitten. The kids there named him Oreo because he is a black and white tuxedo cat, but I renamed him after a couple of weeks. He joined Muffin, an older cat I had at the time, but even she couldn’t keep him out of trouble. I came home from work one day to find him jumping from the dining room table to the top of the curtain rods on the picture window and sliding down to the floor as his claws were shredding the sheer curtains. The following weekend he got locked into the freezer while I was trying to get something out for dinner. Fortunately, I found him before he got too cold. Bandit is my guard cat who goes to the door to check out visitors as soon as the doorbell rings. He has been my special boy for 12 years, and still keeps me guessing as to what he will get into next.

Kaci

After my older cat, Muffin, passed away I decided Bandit needed another playmate, which is when Kaci came to live with us. She and her brother were found abandoned as kittens in a garage with no mother around, and were taken to the local veterinarians. I brought her home from there four years ago. Kaci is a very sweet, brown, black, and white kitty who loves to play with Bandit and her toys, then snooze in the sun on the window bed. When visitors come, Kaci runs to hide under the bed. Both of my loveable kids keep our lives happy, busy, and unpredictable, and I wouldn’t know what to do without them.
