Hooper Island Lighthouse
For those able to spend an extra day touring the great state of Maryland, there will be a 2019 Bonus Cruise to see some of the Bay’s more elusive lighthouses!
This all-day excursion will be offered on Thursday, Friday and
Monday, September 19, 20, and 23, 2019.
Leaves Rippons Harbor on Hoopers Island (1747 Hoopersville Road, Fishing Creek, MD 21634) at 8:30 a.m., to see the following six lighthouses:
• Hooper Island Lighthouse
• Point No Point Lighthouse
• Point Lookout Lighthouse
• Smith Point Lighthouse
• Solomons Lump Lighthouse
• Holland Island Bar Light
Seats on these cruises are limited, so you will want to sign up early. Price: $125 per person, it includes the
cost of lunch, midway through the cruise with a stop at Smith Island for a family-style seafood meal.
NOTE: The BONUS lighthouses and Bonus cruise are optional attractions. Although they are not required stops along the Challenge route, we highly recommend them for your viewing pleasure and to round out your Maryland Lighthouse Challenge adventure. Visiting any of the Bonus attractions will, of course, earn participants extra Challenge souvenirs.
