Scouts take the 2019 MD Lighthouse Challenge

This quarter we celebrate the scouts that completed the 12th Maryland Lighthouse Challenge.

The Farrell family from Valrico, Florida. Sierra, a Junior and Kayla, a Daisy Girl Scout along with their mom, Jennifer, completed what is the equivalent to the 2019 Maryland Lighthouse Challenge in June to earn the “Keeping the Lights Shining” Scout patch and certificate.
Kayla in her application said that her favorite part was “climbing up the inside”. Both Sierra and Kayla were excited to fill up their USLHS passport books and earn this patch.

Seven Scouts from four troops completed the 12th Maryland Lighthouse Challenge.

Cub scout Pack 478 from Pasadena, Maryland, led by Den Leader, Melvin Gill, Jr. Webelos 2, Melvin Gill, III, and Donny Hornberger; Tiger, Olivia Gill, and Lion, Savannah Hornberger, earned the patch and certificate.

The Leffler family from Madison, New Jersey, took the Challenge and all earned a patch and certificate. Pack 226 Bear, Ethan Leffler, led by dad and Den Leader, Jason Leffler and sister Ariel, a Cadet from troop 6169, led by mom Pikatin, did it!

Skylar Foster from Sicklerville, New Jersey Troop SU309 Juliette, led by her mom Lauren Foster completed the Challenge and earned the patch.

Congratulations Scouts!! ~ Fall 2019

This Winter quarter, we celebrate four Scouts from three troops who completed the 12th Maryland Lighthouse Challenge in September.
Cub scout Pack 303 from California, Maryland, led by Troy Abbott. Star, Andrew Schrack.
Brownie Maya Rodriguez of GS Troop 4977 from Exton, Pennsylvania, took the Maryland Challenge. Led by Elizabeth Kazanjian
Seniors, Sarah DeGuzman, and Scarlett Simmons from GS Troop 2762 of Lusby, Maryland, led by Sonya DeGuzman took the Maryland Challenge.
They all earned the patch and certificate.
