1894-1903: Martha C. Grymes is named First Assistant at Mathias Point Shoal Lighthouse, MD. Her salary is $420/year. (Her brother Benjamin C. Grymes is Principal Keeper).
1903: Martha C. Grymes marries George Carter Meade on May 6th. They go on to raise two children.
1918: Martha Grymes Meade dies on January 30th, at age 49. She is buried at Meade Memorial Episcopal Church Cemetery in White Post, Clarke County, VA.
