1912: Marries Frances Swain on May 21, 1912, in Hatteras, NC.
1913-1914: Serves as First Assistant at Sandy Point Shoal Lighthouse, MD. His annual salary was $480.
1914: Serves as First Assistant at Brant Island Shoals Lighthouse, NC.
1915-1916: Serves as Second Assistant at Cape Lookout Lighthouse, NC. His annual salary was $456.00.
1916-1918: Serves as First Assistant at Laurel Point Lighthouse, NC. His annual salary was $480.00.
1918: On April 24, Keeper Stowe aids a gas boat caught in a bad storm while stationed at Laurel Point Lighthouse.
1918–1919: Serves as First Assistant at Cove Point Lighthouse, MD. His annual salary was $720.00.
1919–1922: Serves as Principal Keeper at Turkey Point Lighthouse, MD. His annual salary was $780.00.
