Workday: Thomas Point Lighthouse October 2008
We had beautiful weather as we headed out to Thomas Point in October. The siding on two of the exterior walls were painted white and the railing up around the lantern room received a fresh coat of black paint, railings on the main deck were made more secure. We continued some of the paint stripping in the old kitchen area, the privy door was sanded and painted along with several other tasks. A donated power washer was taken aboard to help with cleaning the deck more efficiently. Five volunteers spent the night on the light and were treated to spectacular sunset and sunrise.
