1837:  Thomas J. Waterworth is born in Frederick County, MD.

1857:    Thomas J. Waterworth enlists in the United States Navy on May 16th.

1876-1877:  Thomas J. Waterworth serves as First Assistant at Hawkins Point Lighthouse, MD. His salary is $400/year.

1877-1882:  Thomas J. Waterworth is promoted to Principal Keeper at Hawkins Point Lighthouse, MD. His salary is $400/year.

1880:  In the U.S. Census, Thomas lives with his wife Ellen and three children in Baltimore. His occupation lists him as a stone cutter.

1883:   Thomas J. Waterworth dies on July 11th in Maryland at the age of 45. He is buried at Loudon Park National Cemetery, Baltimore, MD. In his obituary, it is noted that he is a member of the Grand Army of the Republic, a fraternal organization composed of veterans of the Civil War.
