1910: In the U.S. Census at age 22, his occupation is listed as a cook for a lumber mill.

1917: Draft Registration Card lists Paul B. Gray as married with 2 children. His occupation is listed as a farmer.

1920: In the U.S. Census, Paul B. Gray is listed as married to his wife Edna with 2 sons and 1 daughter. His occupation is listed as a farmer.

1921: Serves as First Assistant at Sandy Point Shoal Lighthouse, MD. His salary was $840/year.

1922: Transferred to Cove Point Lighthouse, MD to serve as First Assistant.

1925: Transferred to Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse, MD. to serve as Principal Keeper.
