1830s: Marries his wife Esther, from Fulton New York and have 7 children, one of whom died as an infant. The remaining six children are Martha, Mary, Virginia, Charles Zelotes, Indiana, and Henry.
1860: Lives in Baltimore, Maryland, where he works as a bricklayer.
1861: Is appointed Keeper of Concord Point Lighthouse, MD where his beginning salary was $350/year.
1863: After serving just 2 years as Keeper, John O’Neill, Jr. dies while still serving at Concord Point Lighthouse on April 16. His wife, Esther is appointed Keeper after his death.
