1900:  George Frank Hudgins born on October 1st, 1900, to parents Alex B. & Cora Powell Hudgins, in Mathews County, VA.

1920:  In the U.S. Census, George F. Hudgins lives in Mathews County, VA. with his parents and 2 brothers. His occupation is listed as a Sailor.

1926:  George F. Hudgins marries Alwine (Eloise) Baxter on April 5th.

1930:  In the U.S. Census, George F. Hudgins is 29, living in Piankatank, Mathews County, VA. with his wife Alwine (Eloise) and son George Jr. His occupation is a Merchant Mariner.

1932-1933:  George F. Hudgins serves as First Assistant at Maryland Point Lighthouse, MD. His annual salary is $1,440.

1933-1942: George F. Hudgins serves as First Assistant at Windmill Point Lighthouse, VA. His beginning salary is $1,380 and his ending salary is $1,440.
