1882: Amy W. Pettigrew served as Acting Assistant at Craney Island Lighthouse, VA. in April, where she remains until the position is abolished in September. Her annual salary was $420. (Her husband served as Principal Keeper)

1900: In the U.S. Census, Haywood and Amy Pettigrew live in Edenton, NC. His occupation is listed as a Minister.

1910: In the U.S. Census, Haywood and Amy Pettigrew live in Edenton, NC. His occupation is listed as a Minister.

1926:               Amy W. Pettigrew dies on March 28th at the age of 72. She is buried in Vine Oak Cemetery, Edenton, NC.
