At the March Chapter Board meeting we reviewed the one application that was received and determined that it met the criteria for the grant. We awarded this year’s grant to the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse Management group. The Board also recognized that the annual grant amount had not been increased since its inception in 2010, so the annual amount was raised to $1500. These funds will be used to help with the removal of bad plywood under the lighthouse and replacement of rotten cross beams.
