Workday: Assateague October 2010

This year we split into two groups for Saturday morning. One group went to the lighthouse while the other stayed out at the station. The group at the lighthouse cut way some of the vegetation at the base of the lighthouse. When that was completed we trimmed back the branches that overhung the trail leading to the light. Back at the stations the floors were being prepped for afternoon painting. While a new coat of paint was applied to the boathouse floor, others repaired loose boards from the long picturesque boardwalk leading from the station to the boathouse.
