Chesapeake Bay and Coastal Lighthouses/Lightships/ Lifesaving Station Information

Assateague Lighthouse

Located in the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), Virginia.

Hours and Cost: Open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
April through June; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily July through August; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday through Sunday, September through November.
NOTE: The lighthouse is closed 12 – 12:30 p.m. every day April through November. (Admission to the lighthouse is free, but donations accepted).
Cost: $8 daily per vehicle to enter the Refuge, $15 weekly or $30 for an annual pass.

Cove Point Lighthouse

Part of the Calvert Marine Museum.
Located at the end of Cove Point Road in Lusby, Maryland

Hours: May and September, weekends (1 to 4 p.m.), June through August daily (1 to 4 p.m.). You must drive your vehicle to the lighthouse. Please follow speed limit signs.
Closed October through April.

Drum Point Lighthouse

Located at Calvert Marine Museum, Solomons, Maryland

Old Cape Henry Lighthouse
